Coaching Frequently Asked Questions

❓ What is eating disorder recovery coaching?

Recovery coaching provides hands-on, practical support to help you stay grounded in your recovery goals. Think of it as having a partner in the process—someone who listens, holds space, and helps you apply the skills and strategies you're learning to your everyday life.

❓ How is coaching different from therapy?

Great question!
Coaching is:

  • Action-oriented

  • Focused on the present and future

  • Centered around support, accountability, and lived experience

  • Typically more flexible and informal

  • Best for those who already have—or have had—a treatment team (therapist, dietitian, etc.)

Coaching is not:

  • A substitute for therapy or medical care

  • Meant to diagnose or treat mental health conditions

  • A crisis service
If you're in need of clinical or crisis support, I will help guide you toward appropriate resources.

❓ Who is coaching for?

Recovery coaching is ideal for anyone:

  • Working toward freedom from an eating disorder or disordered eating

  • Wanting extra support between therapy or treatment sessions

  • Looking for encouragement, structure, and a nonjudgmental space

  • Seeking meal support, accountability, or help navigating day-to-day challenges in recovery

❓ Are your services virtual or in-person?
