Coaching Frequently Asked Questions
❓ What is eating disorder recovery coaching?
Recovery coaching provides hands-on, practical support to help you stay grounded in your recovery goals. Think of it as having a partner in the process—someone who listens, holds space, and helps you apply the skills and strategies you're learning to your everyday life.
❓ How is coaching different from therapy?
Great question!
Coaching is:
Action-oriented
Focused on the present and future
Centered around support, accountability, and lived experience
Typically more flexible and informal
Best for those who already have—or have had—a treatment team (therapist, dietitian, etc.)
Coaching is not:
A substitute for therapy or medical care
Meant to diagnose or treat mental health conditions
A crisis service
If you're in need of clinical or crisis support, I will help guide you toward appropriate resources.
❓ Who is coaching for?
Recovery coaching is ideal for anyone:
Working toward freedom from an eating disorder or disordered eating
Wanting extra support between therapy or treatment sessions
Looking for encouragement, structure, and a nonjudgmental space
Seeking meal support, accountability, or help navigating day-to-day challenges in recovery
❓ Are your services virtual or in-person?
Both! I offer virtual coaching nationwide and in-person support locally (depending on location and availability). Let’s chat about what works best for you.
